Who You Are

We are seeking a Senior Learning & Development Specialist to join the Critical Start Technologies Private Ltd. team, operating under the Critical Start umbrella, for our India operations. As a Sr. L&D Specialist on the People Team, you will serve as an advanced individual contributor who independently designs and delivers high-impact learning programs. In this role, you will lead complex training initiatives and collaborate with senior stakeholders to create inclusive, engaging learning experiences across our Pune office.

 

This role is designated as a hybrid position. You are required to have a reliable high-speed internet connection, the ability to participate in video meetings, and a dedicated home office or private workspace suitable for professional work. As the position involves collaboration with U.S.-based teams and stakeholders, you might be expected to work some overlapping hours with U.S. business hours, as guided by your manager.

What You Will Be Doing?

Advanced Program Development & Leadership

  • Independently design and implement comprehensive learning programs spanning technical and professional development

  • Lead complex, multi-phase learning initiatives from concept through evaluation

  • Create sophisticated blended learning experiences using a variety of methodologies and technologies

  • Develop curricula and certification-readiness programs

Expert Training Delivery & Facilitation

  • Deliver high-impact training for technical and non-technical audiences across all organizational levels

  • Facilitate leadership development workshops and learning sessions

  • Lead train-the-trainer programs to strengthen internal learning capabilities

  • Manage partnerships with external training vendors and subject matter experts

Strategic Partnership & Consultation

  • Partner with department leaders and HRBPs to assess learning and development needs

  • Serve as an internal consultant on learning strategy and program design

  • Collaborate with senior leaders on talent and capability development initiatives

  • Build and maintain relationships with industry organizations and certification bodies

Knowledge Sharing & Enablement

  • Lead knowledge-sharing initiatives and communities of practice

  • Support succession planning through targeted development programs

  • Champion a culture of continuous learning across the organization

Analytics & Program Optimization

  • Conduct comprehensive program evaluations using data-driven metrics and feedback analysis

  • Assess learning effectiveness and recommend strategic improvements

  • Track and report on program outcomes and business impact

  • Stay current on industry trends and emerging learning technologies

What You Will Bring?

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

  • 5–7 years of progressive experience in learning and development, with demonstrated expertise in program design and facilitation

  • Experience using learning technologies such as Docebo and Articulate Rise

  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex learning and training initiatives

  • Advanced knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning theory

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate and measure learning effectiveness

  • Excellent presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder partnership skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a related field or advanced professional certifications (e.g., CPLP, CPTD, ATD Master Trainer)

  • Experience with learning platforms such as Udemy

  • Experience in cybersecurity, information security, or related technical environments

  • Background in organizational development and change management

  • Experience supporting or scaling growing organizations and building sustainable learning capabilities

  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and industry certifications
